Ways to Bank

Internationally

Choose between foreign currency, American Express Travellers Cheques or a Cash Passport card; all of which are available in a range of major currencies and denominations. A handy alternative to carrying foreign currency, Travellers Cheques are accepted by most retailers and service providers, do not expire and can be replaced if stolen. The Cash Passport is a pre-loaded card that helps you manage your spending while abroad.

Absa also offers a range of Travel Insurance cover options, backed by a 24-hour emergency medical assistance helpline operated by Europ Assist, and if you purchase your international return travel tickets with your Absa Credit Card, you will automatically receive basic travel insurance cover for 90 days.
